Biography

2011 - Threw the 10th Indiana State no-hitter on March 5 at Central Arkansas, fanning five batters in ISU's 8-0 victory ... threw the first solo nine-inning no-hitter at ISU since 1949 and the first no-hitter since 1988 ... started a team-leading 16 games during the season, going 4-5 with a 4.25 ERA ... struck out 57 batters in 82.2 innings ... also threw a complete game against Evansville on May 8, scattering six singles and allowing just one run in ISU's series-clinching victory.

2010 - Started 12 games with two appearances out of the bullpen ... went 3-3 on the mound with a 4.70 ERA over 74.2 innings ... earned the first MVC Pitcher of the Week award of the 2010 season after allowing two hits and one unearned run while striking out seven over 5.1 innings in a victory against Texas Southern on February 20 ... also earned wins against Tennessee Martin on March 7 and Illinois  State on March 27 ... struck out 58 batters during the season, including a season-high of eight against Creighton in the MVC Tournament on May 27.

Treasure Valley CC - Played two seasons at Treasure Valley Community College under head coach Rick Baumann ... totaled a 5-3 record on the mound while at TVCC.

High School - Lettered for one season at Gig Harbor High School under head coach Pete  Jansen ... named the team's Cy Young award winner after his senior season ... held batters to a .211 batting average against during his final season.

Personal - Born on April 10, 1989, to Cathy and Ike Van Skike ... majoring in Communication ... has three uncles, Scott, Greg and Bob Peralta, that all played collegiate baseball.
