Biography

2023-24
Swope made his way into national spotlight with his three-point shooting, being ranked for a majority of the season in threes per game and total threes made. Swope was consistently inside the top 10 but ended the season tied for 23rd in the nation in threes per game with 3.05. Swope finished the season tied for fourth in total triples made with 113. The Newbugh, Ind. native's total threes places him second in program history in threes made in the season, four off the leader. Swope ended No. 1 on the team and the league in threes. His 3.05 threes-per-game average was first in the MVC. Swope against Belmont knocked down eight triples, one shy of tying the single-game record. Swope's season-high came in timely fashion, scoring 30 points to push ISU to am 89-83 victory at UIC. He recorded his lone double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds in nonconference action against Northern Illinois. In 37 games as a Sycamore, he knocked down three triples 19 times.

2022-23 (USI): 
Named first team All-OVC and second team NABC All-District...led the Eagles with 15.6 points and 3.5 assists per contest...played in all 33 games, making 31 starts as a sophomore...scored a career-high 28 points in the win over Indiana State University, connecting on eight three-point field goals...dished a season-best eight assists in the win over Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis...grabbed a season-best six rebounds in the loss at Southeast Missouri State University...30 points away from entering the USI top 50 in scoring and 22 assists away from entering the USI top 15 in assists.

2021-22 (USI): Averaged 8.2 points and 1.9 rebounds per game during his first season...played in 26 games, making 11 starts...posted a season-high 18 points versus Maryville University and four rebounds three times...dished a season-high 10 assists versus the University of Illinois Springfield. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in basketball and football at Castle High School (Newburgh, Indiana)...earned the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference Player of the Year award in 2021...also was named All-State after averaging 22.2 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per contest as a senior...also was named honorable mention All-State as a junior and  became the seventh player all-time at Castle to score over 1,000 points during his career.
