Max Hutson

With the end of the 2011 season, Max Hutson wrapped up his second season as an assistant coach with the Indiana State baseball program. Hutson serves several roles within the ISU coaching staff, primarily working with the Sycamore pitching rotation.

In his first season with the program in 2010, Hutson assisted the ISU pitching staff to a 4.61 team ERA, second lowest in the MVC, and a .257 opponent's batting average, lowest in the conference.

Hutson is no stranger to the Missouri Valley Conference or the Terre Haute area, as Hutson graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 2004 before heading out west to play for MVC rival Wichita State from 2005 through 2009.

Hutson finished his time with the Shockers with an 8-5 record on the mound.

The newcomer to the ISU coaching ranks has another connection to the Sycamore athletic program, as he is the brother former ISU Track & Field standout Kylie Hutson.
