Alex Archuleta joined the Indiana State baseball staff in the late summer 2024 coming to the Sycamores by way of Saskatoon, the University of Southern Indiana, and the Evansville Razorbacks.

Archuleta served as an assistant coach with the Saskatoon Berries in their inaugural season where he assisted in game preparation and on-field coaching.

Prior to his time at Saskatoon, Archuleta served as a student-assistant coach at USI where he led baserunning and infield instruction. He also worked with in-game adjustments with athletes.

Archuleta started his coaching career as an assistant coach with the Evansville Razorbacks. During his time with the high school-prep, college-prep squad, Archuleta assisted with game preparation and life preparation as he worked with players ready to make the transition to the next level.

He attended the University of Southern Indiana, playing for the Screaming Eagles. After a four year stint with the Screaming Eagles, he finished his career in 2023 with a .220 batting average, scored 26 career runs and 15 career RBIs.Â
