2008 Season: Appeared in 15 games, starting one for the Sycamores. Was 1-1 with two saves in 15.1 innings of work.
Summer 2007: Spent the summer as the closer for the Mankato MoonDogs of the Northwoods League and was named to the 2007 Northwoods League Post-Season All-Star team.
2007 Season: Appeared in 17 games and started eight with a 2-2 record and a 5.86 ERA in 55.1 innings pitched. Also had two saves.
2006 Season: Made 15 appearances on the mound, starting in 12 games. Recorded 32 strikouts.
2005 Season: Made 10 starts and pitched in 15 games in his first collegiate season. Threw 52.1 innings which ranked fourth on teh team. Started each of his first six outings. Went 4.2 innings in his debut allowing only one run to earn the win over Air Force. Pitched 7.0 innings without giving up an eaerned run against UNC-Wilmington. Followed with a win over Tennessee-Martin, after throwing 8.1 innings and giving up two runs while striking out a season high eight batters.
High School: Prepped at Benton High School under coach Mark Balisterri ... Earned all-state honors after his senior campaign ... Helped lead team to State finals during junior season ... Also lettered in basketball (three years) and football (one year).
Personal: Born on March 6, 1986 in Benton, AR, the son of Dan and Peggy Dawson. Majoring in Chemistry. Plans to attend medical school. Interests include reading and computers. Has two sisters, Rebecca and Shelley.
