The Indiana State Football Field House is one of the premier facilities in all of FCS football thanks to recent upgrades and the generous donations of many former Sycamores who made an financial committment to help secure the future success of the Indiana State Football Program.
Â
Of note, nearly all of the 100 lockers in the state of the art Indiana State Football Locker Room display name plates of former Sycamores who made a donation to help build the facility. Each player in the Sycamore football program is provided their own locker, equipped with modern restroom and shower facilities. The room is also large enough to hold position meetings in air conditioned comfort and provides easy across the hall access to the Bob Elson Equipment Room, The Chris Sapp Athletic Training Facility and the Sycamore Room, which is a large room for positional meetings and houses press conferences and donor functions.Â
Â
The Jerry Huntsman Coaches Locker Room is also part of the facility which provides the coaches a private area to prepare for practice and to also meet with small groups before or after practice.
Â
One of the best aspects of The Indiana State Football Locker Room is that it is large enough to accomodate a large number of people at any one time due to its open air design. Notably, all Sycamore Football Alums join with the team after each home contest to sing the Indiana State Fight Song to celebrate that day's victory.
Â
Inside these walls, student-athletes also receive the best preparation in order to achieve success. At Memorial Stadium, a newly installed permenant camera system is in place which feeds to a video room where it is broken down so that each play of practice and every drill is immediately available for play back and evaluation. Sycamore Football Players have the luxury of meeting with coaches at anytime inside the Fieldhouse to receive feedback on performance and gain notes for improvement through HD quality video availability.Â
Â
With the Indiana State Football Fieldhouse, student-athletes receive nothing but the best care and treatment to prepare for compeitition in the nation's premier FCS league, The Missouri Valley Football Conference.Â
