Transfer Information

Permission to Contact

Before any coach may contact or recruit student-athlete from another four year institution, the Compliance Office must have on file written permission or a formal release from the athletic director of the student athlete’s current/former institution.  Requests to obtain a release or permission to contact should be forwarded to the Compliance Office.

An Indiana State student athlete wishing to transfer to another four year institution must be granted a release from the Compliance Office before the student-athlete may speak with another four-year institution.  Current student-athletes at Indiana State University should speak with their Head Coach to discuss obtaining a release through the Compliance Office.  Any student-athlete denied a release for any reason is entitled to appeal the denial – see the Compliance Office for more information on the appeals process.
