First Class Inducted: October 29, 1982
The first class of Indiana State University Hall of Fame members was inducted on October 29, 1982, in ceremonies held at the Sheraton Inn in Terre Haute, Indiana. The invocation was spoken by Mrs. Alpha Cleary, Associate Director of Athletics. Words of welcome and the toast were offered by President Richard G. Landini. Mr. Bob Forbes conducted the presentation and congratulatory remarks were given at the conclusion of the evening by Mr. Beanie Cooper, Director of Athletics.
