2018 - Saw action in 22 games including 14 starts for the Sycamores his junior season ... Finished the year with a .222 average, a .481 slugging percentage and a .317 on-base percentage ... Recorded 12 hits in 54 at bats, including three home runs, three doubles and a triple while driving in 10 runs ... After starting the first game of the season (Feb. 16.) at UNLV three-for-three at the plate, he suffered a hand injury sliding back into first base and did not see action again until March 23 ... Collected 19 hits in which 10 were extra-base hits ... Homered three times, tripled one and doubled six times in 79 at bats ... Finished with 10 RBIs and did not commit an error in 33 chances. 
 
Prior to Indiana State - Came to Indiana State after a standout baseball career where he lettered three years at Westfield High School ... During his high school career, Ayers was names Westfield HS Impact Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, All-Hoosier Conference First Team, All-Hamilton County First Team, Hamilton County Reporter Player of the Year, American Family/USA Today All-State Second Team, and Prep Baseball Report All-State Second Team ... Ayers also holds the Westfield HS record for triples, ERA, WHIP, and fewest walks per appearance.
 
Personal - Born to Scott and Susan Ayers ... Has a sister, Amy ... Father Scott played baseball at the University of New Orleans and was drafted in the second round of the 1985 MLB draft by the Montreal Expos.
