2016 – Appeared in 13 games for the Sycamores … Finished the year with a .244 batting average, a .239 on-base percentage and a .400 slugging percentage … Drove in eight runs in 11 hits … Hit one home run on the year against Chicago State (2/27) … Also went for a triple against the Cougars (2/29).
 
2015 – Received a medical hardship after playing in the first nine games of the season at first base.
 
2014 - Started 48 games at first base appearing in 50 total games... hit .247 (44-for-178) with nine doubles and two triples... Earned 29 RBI and scored 20 runs... was a home run away from a cycle against Lipscomb (Feb. 21) while driving in two runs and scoring twice in the 10-6 victory... 10-game hitting streak from Mar. 22-Apr. 8 recording 10 RBI... 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored against Purdue (Apr. 22)... against Ball State (May 7) 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and scored a run... 4-for-11 in three game set against Missouri State (May 9-May 11) with three RBI and three runs scored.
 
2013 – Saw action in 27 games with 15 starts as a redshirt freshman … hit .132 (7-for-53) with two doubles … went 2-for-4 with one RBI and a double against South Dakota State on March 9 … drove in two runs at Austin Peay on March 12 … recorded his first career collegiate hit against Morehead State in Huntsville, Ala., on February 17 … scored the go-ahead run in the ninth inning against Purdue on April 3 … after playing in the outfield throughout his high school career, made the transition to first base and recorded 125 putouts and 13 fielding assists without committing an error.
 
2012 - Redshirted during the 2012 season.
 
Prep - A three-year letter winner at Castle High School under head coach Curt Welch ... earned all-conference honors after his junior and senior seasons ... hit .431 with four home runs and 26 RBIs as a senior for the Knights ... also lettered for two years in basketball.
 
Personal – Jefferson Andrew Zahn was born on Aug. 9, 1992, in Evansville, Ind., the son of Janet and Jim Zahn ... majoring in accounting ... has one sister, Casey, who played softball at IU Southeast.
