Indoor Track & Field –

2013 – Competed in shot put and weight throw … posted a career best throw of 64’-5” (19.63m) in weight throw at Meyo Invitational, seventh on the all-time list … placed fifth at MVC Indoors in weight throw (61’-5.5”/18.73m) and eighth in the shot put (53’-1.75”/16.22m) … had season best throw in shot put of 54’-1.25” (16.49m) at EIU Friday Night Special.

2012 – Posted a career best throw of 54’-7.25” (16.64 meters) in placing seventh in the shot put at the MVC Indoors … had a career best distance of 59’-3” (18.07 meters) in weight throw at EIU Friday Night Special … placed 13th in weight throw at MVC Indoors.

2011 – Competed in shot put and weight throw … led team in shot put with a personal best 51’-1.5” (15.58 meters) at Tiger Invitational … had personal best throw of 52’-7.5” (16.04 meters) in weight throw at Wisconsin Elite Invitational … had throw of 136’-11” (41.73 meters) in indoor discus at Wisconsin Elite Invitational.

Outdoor Track & Field –

2013 – Qualified to compete in shot put at NCAA East … placed 41st with throw of 47’-10” (14.58 meters) … named All-Conference in shot put … placed second at MVC Outdoors in shot put (54’-4.75”/16.58m) … had season best throw of 55’-7.5” (16.95 meters) in shot put at Billy Hayes … threw collegiate best 187’-5” (57.13 meters) in hammer throw at Auburn Tiger Track Classic … was 10th in hammer at MVC Outdoors (178’-5”/54.39m) … had season best throw in discus (154’-9”/47.18m) at Auburn Tiger Track Classic.

2012 – Had a career best throw of 55’-7.25” (16.96 meters) in a second place finish at Billy Hayes Invitational … threw career best 160’-3” (48.85 meters) in third place finish at EIU Big Blue Classic … posted career best distance of 175’-3” (53.43 meters) in second place finish in hammer throw at EIU Tuesday Tweener … finished fourth in shot put, sixth in discus, and 15th in hammer throw at MVC Outdoors.

2011 – Placed fifth in discus at MVC Outdoors with personal best throw of 163’-1” (49.71 meters) … placed ninth in shot put at MVC Outdoors with personal best throw of 50’-9.5” (15.48 meters) … had personal best throw in hammer of 138’-5” (42.20 meters) at ISU-EIU Ice Dual.

Before ISU –

Lettered four years in track & field at Harrison High School … was three-time All-Conference selection … four-time regional champion … second all-time in discus at Harrison … third all-time in shot put.

Personal –

Christopher Daniel Fields was born on Sept. 24, 1991, in Evansville, Ind., the son of Mary Barnes and James Fields … majoring in Math Education at Indiana State ... interests include throwing and television.
