2008 Season: Played in 26 games, starting 25 as designated hitter. had .274 average with four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBIs. Appeared in 19 games as pitcher, starting five. Had a 1-3 record with a team high four saves.
Before ISU: Played two years at Fresno City College, Fresno, CA, for coach Ron Scott. Was two-time All-CVC Player and a 2007 All-American. Received the 2007 Mr. Ram Award and was a member of the 2007 Northern California champions. Batted .365 sophomore year with 10 doubles, five home runs and 52 RBI.
High School: Played baseball for three years and football for two years at Fresno Central High East Campus, Fresno, CA. Was twice named All-TRAC, City-County All-Star, North-South All-Star, and Area Code All-Star. Tam MVP in 2003, Best Offensive Player in 2004, Best Defensive Player in 2005, and team captain in 2004 and 2005. Had career .340 batting average with 10 home runs and 80 RBI.
Personal: Born in Fresno, CA, on March 9, 1987, the son of James Oliver and Donna Stidham. Majoring in Recreation and Sports Management. Plans to become a high school or college coach and teacher. Interests include golf and family. Has one sister, Jessica. Father played baseball in college while mother played softball in college.
