TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Blue Team held off a late Gray Team challenge on Friday night at the Indiana State swimming and diving intrasquad meet as the Sycamores battled down to the wire at the Vigo County Aquatic Center. The Blue Team claimed the 135-134 win over the Gray Team to claim their second win in the last three seasons to wrap up the preseason meet.
 
Grace Cummings (1000 Free, 500 Free), Erin Cummins (200 Free, 100 Free), Lily Glasgow (100 Breast), Gemma Dilks (200 Fly), and Anna Asplund (200 Back) claimed seven event wins for the Blue Team as the roster showcased its depth throughout the meet.
 
The Gray Team swept both relays, while Sara Keefe (100 Back), Rachel Stutz (50 Free), Eva Nordyke (200 Breast, 200 IM), and Addison Johnson (100 Fly) recorded individual swimming event wins on the day. Jecza Lopez (1M Springboard) and Alessandra Mittelstadt (3M Springboard) swept the diving events for the Gray Team.

The Gray quartet of Keefe, Karaali, Kelley, and Johnson opened competition with 200-yard Medley Relay winning time of 1:43.74 to top the Blue Team group of Kate Reeves, Glasgow, Paige Austin-Burrows, and Cummins (1:46.40). The second Blue Team of Asplund, Jenna Nave, Allison Barasch, and Ash Saple finished third in 1:48.34, while Sahara Visscher, Nordyke, Raz Harel, and Stutz finished in 1:49.08 for Gray.
 
Cummings claimed the head-to-head matchup in the 1000-yard Freestyle against Saldana Riebeling for the Blue Team as Cummings went 10:12.74 in the event. Riebeling finished second in 10:40.28.
 
Cummins picked up her first win of the day for Blue Team going 1:54.39 in the 200-yard Freestyle to top Gray Team's Johnson (1:56.43) and Annabelle Francke (1:58.76).
 
Keefe topped the field in the 100-yard Backstroke for Gray Team's first individual win of the day after touching the wall in 57.92. Reeves (59.12), Asplund (59.76), Kiarra Thomas (1:00.86), and Ella Moustgaard (1:00.95) claimed the next four positions for Blue Team, while Visscher went 1:01.68 for Gray.
 
Glasgow recorded her first win of the day for Blue Team in the 100-yard Breaststroke after going 1:04.78 in the event to top Gray's Karaali (1:05.49) and Nordyke (1:06.34). Nave went 1:06.61 for Blue Team.
 
Dilks kept the Blue Team win streak going in the 200-yard Fly after going 2:07.25 in the event to finish ahead of Gray's Elle Santucci (2:11.44). Austin-Burrows was third in 2:12.34 for Blue, while Harel went 2:12.43 for Gray.
 
Stutz went 24.72 to win the 50-yard Freestyle for the Gray Team ahead of Blue's Barasch (24.83) and Saple (25.43).
 
Cummins was back on top for Blue Team in the 100-yard Freestyle in 52.50) to hold off Gray's Karaali (53.69), Stutz (54.77), and Visscher (56.62).
 
Asplund kept Blue's streak going with a 2:05.71 in the 200-yard Backstroke to claim the event win. Teammate Reeves went 2:08.51 for Blue, while Keefe (2:08.81) and Santucci (2:09.15) finished third and fourth for Gray. Moustgaard rounded out the group in 2:12.10 for Blue.
 
Nordyke recorded her first win of the day for Gray Team with a time of 2:21.39 in the 200-yard Breaststroke. Glasgow went 2:23.85 for Blue, while Nave finished in 2:27.40.
 
Cummings picked up her second win of the evening for the Blue Team after topping teammate Dilks in the 500-yard Freestyle. Cummings went 5:02.86, while Dilks finished in 5:05.49. Riebeling (5:13.45) and Francke (5:16.50) took on the field for Gray Team.
 
Johnson swung the meter back to Gray Team in the 100-yard Fly with a time of 56.08 to top the field. Austin-Burrows (57.34) and Barasch (59.07) finished second and third for Blue, while Harel (59.56) and Thomas (1:00.05) also competed.
 
Nordyke kept the pressure up for the Gray Team after going 2:08.20 to win the 200-yard IM ahead of Blue Team's Glasgow (2:10.38). Santucci went 2:12.29 for Gray, while Nave (2:14.67) and Moustgaard (2:15.96) competed for Blue.
 
The Gray Team completed the relay sweep with Johnson, Stutz, Karaali, and Riebeling going 3:32.92 to win the 400-yard Freestyle Relay. The Blue Team claimed the next two spots with Austin-Burrows, Barasch, Asplund, and Cummins going 3:33.01and Cummings, Reeves, Thomas, and Dilks touching in 3:41.77. The final Gray Team of Keefe, Visscher, Francke, and Harel finished in 3:44.40.
 
The Gray Team swept the diving events with Jecza Lopez (261.35) topping Blue's Brenna Woodruff (247.90) in the 1M Springboard, while Alessandra Mittelstadt (276.30) topped Woodruff (233.15) in the 3M Springboard.
