TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State volleyball's Ella Scott was named this week's Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week as announced by the athletic department on Monday afternoon.
 
Lopez receives the recognition for the first time in the 2026-27 season as the senior earned her way onto the Western Michigan Invitational All-Tournament Team this past weekend. The Plainfield, Ind. native helped the Sycamores to a 2-1 weekend with wins over Navy and Green Bay in the season-opening tournament.
 
The senior middle blocker averaged 1.91 kills per set and 0.73 blocks per set over the three-game span, finishing with totals of 21 kills, eight blocks, seven digs, four aces, and four assists. She was one of five Sycamores with 10+ kills in the season opener with 11 kills, adding in six blocks. Her All-Tournament selection is her fourth tournament team bid.

The Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every week throughout the 2026-27 athletic season.
