ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Indiana State softball earned a pair of postseason honors on Wednesday as seniors Morgan Goodrich and Hannah Welch were recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference. Goodrich was selected to the All-MVC Second Team, while Welch secured a spot on the MVC All-Defensive Team.
The announcement highlights the impact and consistency both veteran outfielders brought to the Sycamores throughout the 2026 season.
Goodrich, a senior outfielder, collected her All-MVC honor after emerging as one of Indiana State's most dependable offensive performers. She delivered timely production at the plate, added key extra-base hits, and provided steady defensive work in the outfield. Her senior campaign showcased her growth into a complete, reliable presence in the Sycamores' lineup.
Welch, also a senior outfielder, earned her first MVC All-Defensive selection by establishing herself as one of the league's most reliable defenders in center field. Known for her range, reads, and consistency on both routine and high-pressure plays, Welch anchored the Sycamores' outfield with a season full of efficient, high-level defensive execution.
Together, Goodrich and Welch represent the strength and leadership of Indiana State's senior class, closing their Sycamore careers with well-deserved conference recognition.
