TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State men's basketball head coach
Matthew Graves announced the signing of Alessio Calamita ("uh-less-e-o cal-uh-me-tuh").

Calamita comes in at 6-10 and 255 pounds from Germany. He most recently played for FC Bayern Munich, appearing in 19 games. He averaged 8.7 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game in just under an average of 20 minutes per game on the court.

"Alessio brings a tremendous amount of international experience," said head coach
Matthew Graves. "He has played within some great clubs in Germany and Italy. His experience, physicality, and toughness were all areas we were looking for. We are excited to welcome him to Indiana State and the Wabash Valley."

He's coming off a season of 63.3% shooting from inside the arc in 2025-26, and a two-year 60.7% in 35 games across the previous two seasons for FC Bayern Munich.

With 19 games played in the 2025-26 season (September 2025 through April 2026), he pulled down an average of 7.3 rebounds per game in 20 minutes of action per game.
