KUJAWY-POMORZE, Poland – Former Indiana State jumper Ryann Porter represented Team USA on the international stage, competing in the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships March 20-22 in Poland.
Porter, who competed for the Sycamores from 2021-23, finished 16th in the triple jump in her first international competition at the professional level, with her top mark at the meet coming in at 13.01m (42-8.25). She qualified for the world championships by placing third in the triple jump at the USATF Indoor Championships in New York, with her top mark at that meet measuring 13.50m (44-3.5). Porter previously competed at the Olympic Trials, USATF Championships and USATF U20 Championships during her time at Indiana State.
Porter had a decorated career with the Blue and White, winning six MVC titles in individual events (five triple jump, one long jump) while earning nine all-conference honors as a Sycamore (five triple jump, two 60m hurdles, one 100m hurdles, one long jump). She reached the NCAA Outdoor National Championships in each of her three seasons with the Sycamores (2021, 2022, 2023) and was a part of Indiana State's 2022 MVC Indoor Championship winning team.
A three-time Honorable Mention All-American in the triple jump (2021 outdoor, 2022 outdoor, 2023 outdoor) and two-time MVC Most Valuable Athlete (2022 indoor, 2023 indoor), Porter also achieved great heights in the classroom. She was a two-time MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year (2022, 2023) and a four-time MVC Elite 17 honoree (2022 indoor, 2022 outdoor, 2023 indoor, 2023 outdoor), which went to the highest GPA among finalists at the conference championships.
Porter remains a fixture in the Indiana State program best lists, ranking in the top 10 in school history in the 60m hurdles (seventh, 8.48), 100m hurdles (eighth, 13.84), indoor triple jump (third, 12.75m/41-10) and outdoor triple jump (second, 13.05m/42-9.75). She transferred to Oregon prior to the 2023-24 indoor season, finishing her collegiate career with the Ducks in 2025.
