COLUMBUS, Ohio – Indiana State continued play at the Ohio State Tournament on Saturday morning, falling to Louisville's Cardinals 12-1 in five innings at Buckeye Field.
The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead, plating three runs in the first inning and adding six more in the second. Despite the deficit, the Sycamores continued to battle, breaking through during the bottom of the fifth inning. Isabelle Saylor led off the frame with a walk, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Bella Pusateri, and got home on a Lauren Marsicek single.
Louisville's pitching held the Sycamores to one hit on the day, a single by Lauren Marsicek.
