ST. LOUIS - Indiana State freshman outside hitter
Ava Robart earned the MVC Freshman of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Robart, a Potosi, Mo. native, helped lead Indiana State to an undefeated Tiger Invitational, held on the campus of Tennessee State in Nashville, Tenn.Â

The freshman in three matches finished with a team-high 51 kills (4.25 per set) hitting .327. She recorded 30 digs (2.5 per set), four aces, and five blocks. Against Chattanooga, she set career highs with her first double-double of the season with 19 kills and 15 digs.
Indiana State begins conference play this weekend, hosting Illinois State on Friday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. and Belmont on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 5 p.m.
