TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's soccer's Brooklyn Woods added to her preseason accolades as the senior defender was named to the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference women's soccer preseason All-Conference team.
 
Woods, the lone defender on the First Team, adds to her preseason acclaim as the Waukee, Iowa native comes off a 2024 season where she earned All-Midwest Region honors for the first time in her collegiate career. She was previously announced as one of the United Soccer Coaches' Women's Players to Watch as one of the top defenders in the country heading into the 2025 intercollegiate season.
 
Woods scored three goals, all from corner kicks, while registering three assists and 31 shots over the season. She added the game-winning goal on August 22 against Miami (Ohio). She tied for fifth overall in the Missouri Valley in shots on goal (21), while lining up and starting 20 matches over the 2024 season. Woods finished playing a total of 1,724 minutes on the pitch including going all 90 minutes in the final 17 matches of the season.
 
Indiana State opens up the 2025 regular season on Thursday, August 14, at Purdue University. Kickoff at Folk Field in West Lafayette, Ind. is set for 7 p.m. ET. And will be carried live on B1G+.
