Sycamores sign DII's GLVC All-League First Team Xavier Hall

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State men's basketball head coach Matthew Graves announced the signing of Xavier Hall to the 2025-26 roster.

Hall has spent the last three seasons at Truman State in Kirksville, Mo., an NCAA Division II school. He will graduate in May 2026.

The 6-0 guard was named to all-league First Team and All-Defensive teams one season ago, as his team earned in the No. 6 spot of the league's conference tournament. He finished second on the team in points per game with 14.1, first in assists with 168 (5.8 APG), and led the team in three-point percentage hitting at a 43.6% clip. He also averaged 3.6 rebounds per game and just about 1.3 steals per game.

Hall's numbers landed him ninth overall last season in NCAA Division II in assists per game, as well as at No. 1 in both total assists and assists per game in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). He finished No. 19 in points per game.

"The main thing for me was just the support … seeing all the support from fans and the city," said Hall. "Honestly, I really can't wait to finally get to play in the Hulman Center, in front of all the fans, seeing them all go crazy, and then even after the games meeting the younger fans."

The rising senior commented on how his play style fit the style of Coach Graves and Sycamore Basketball. "Coach, obviously, he wants to play fast, and I'm a really fast player, so [fans] can expect a really quick player that can make a lot of plays, get it up and down the floor really quickly, and bring a lot of energy."

Hall is leaving his three-year career at Truman State with impressive shooting splits. He is a career 47.3% shooter from the field and has made 42.4% of his three-point attempts (84-198). From the line, he's an 81.9% career shooter (154-188), averaging 3.3 rebounds per game and 5.0 assists per game. He enters Indiana State with 995 career points, 273 rebounds, 413 assists, and 85 steals. He has shot 47.1% from the field throughout his career, 42.5% from three, and 81.3% from the line.

He closed out the last three games of the season with two 20-plus-point games, including his 25-point effort, a season high. His career high was set two seasons ago with 27 points on 11-of-13 shooting from the floor, going 2-of-3 from deep. In the season, he was one point shy of his double-double, finishing with nine points and a career-high 13 assists. He ensured to secure it down the stretch, scoring 13 points on 5-of-8 from the floor and tied his assist high, again finishing with 13.

"We are so excited to welcome Xavier to Indiana State and the Wabash Valley," said Coach Graves. "He is an accomplished student-athlete who had a very good career at Truman State in a very good national conference. The traits that he has are those that every coach looks for but are difficult to often find. We fully expect Xavier to be a tremendous leader both on the court and in the community."

Hall is no stranger to the court, as he has appeared in every game in all three of his seasons. He has an average of 32.9 minutes per game throughout his career, which was elevated in 2024-25 from playing 36.1 minutes per game (14 games of 29 with 38-or-more minutes logged).
