Sycamores Hit the Road for Frost Classic in Chattanooga

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State Softball is gearing up for a competitive weekend in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as they take on the Frost Classic Tournament.

Indiana State wraps up the tournament on Sunday with a 12:00 p.m. game against IU Indy.

Last Time Out:
Indiana State faced a tough weekend at the Samford Tournament, dropping all four games despite several strong individual performances.

The Sycamores opened play on Friday with a pair of close losses, falling 2-1 to UAB and 3-1 to Samford. Lauren Sackett and Hailey Griffin each delivered solid pitching outings, with Sackett going the distance against UAB and Griffin allowing just one hit against Samford.

Madison Poulson, Hannah Welch, and Whitley Wischmeier contributed offensively, but Indiana State struggled to push runs across in key moments.

On Sunday, Indiana State built an early 3-0 lead against Samford, highlighted by RBI from Welch, Annie Waggoner, and Taylor Erschen. However, Samford chipped away and completed the comeback in the seventh for a 4-3 win.
