ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Indiana State's
Jecza Lopez claimed Missouri Valley Diver of the Week honors for the second consecutive week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Lopez receives the honor for the second time in the 2025-26 season following her performance this past weekend in Evansville, Ind. competing against both Evansville and Southern Indiana at the Deaconess Aquatic Center.
The Guadalajara, Mexico native remained undefeated on the boards this weekend as the reigning MVC Champion took the 3M and 1M Springboard events inside the Deaconess Aquatic Center. Lopez topped the field by 30 points in the 3M Diving event with a six-dive score of 275.90, before winning by 52 points in the 1M Diving event with her score of 277.95.

Indiana State continues the 2025-26 season at home next weekend as the Sycamores host both Illinois and Vanderbilt in a double dual meet format over November 7-8. Friday's events are set to start at 7 p.m., while Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. at the Vigo County Aquatic Center.
