TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State men's basketball's Jaden Daughtry was named this week's GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week as announced by the athletic department on Monday afternoon.
 
Jaden Daughtry played two games off the bench this week yet led Indiana State in scoring with 22.5 points per game, shooting a team-best 57.7% (15-for-26) from the field and knocking down 15-fof-18 from the free throw line (he entered the week a 61% shooter from the line). He played 23.7 minutes per game between the two contests.
 
Daughtry finished with a career-high 26 points against Evansville and scored the first eight-of-15 points for the Sycamores, and late in the contest he scored seven consecutive points to ensure the squad remained in striking distance. He was fouled with 12.8 seconds to play and made both attempts to give Indiana State a four-point lead.
 
Earlier in the week against Bradley, Daughtry scored 19 points but was pivotal in forcing the game into overtime. With only a couple minutes remaining, he converted an and-one to tie the ball game. He opened the overtime period converting another and-one to spark a 7-0 run.
 
The GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every week throughout the 2024-25 athletic season.
