The Sycamores snapped their six-game losing streak on Wednesday night, defeating the visiting Missouri State Bears 72-67 in a comeback fashion. Samage Teel scored a game-high 20 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field and 2-for-4 from three, all in the second half. Teel was 8-of-8 from the free throw line. Jaden Daughtry scored 18 points with a 6-for-11 effort from the floor, grabbing a game-high nine rebounds. Camp Wagner finished with 14 points with four three-pointers, all in the second half. Aaron Gray notched 12 points on a perfect shooting night (3-for-3 from the field, 1-for-1 from three, 5-for-5 from the free throw line).

UIC defeated Bradley in its most recent time on the court, winning in Peoria 93-70. Javon Jackson scored 25 points while Jordan Mason scored 22 points with five steals, seven rebounds, and seven assists. The turning point in their win was a 41-14 run in the first half by the Flames.

This matchup is only the seventh meeting between the two teams, and the Sycamores have been the victors in all but one. Indiana State dropped the series open in 2001 but have won the last five. Only four games have been played since the start of the 2022-23 season, two in Terre Haute and two in Chicago. In the last meeting on February 24, Indiana State won 88-73 in Terre Haute but escaped Chicago earlier in the season with an 89-83 decision.

In the last five games for Indiana State, three Sycamores have averaged double-digit scoring: Samage Teel (12.4), Aaron Gray (12.0), and Jaden Daughtry (10.2). Markus Harding has grabbed a team-high 5.2 rebounds per game, while Teel leads the team in assists per game with 3.6.

Gray (58.1%) and Daughtry (52.9%) lead the team in shooting from the field, while Harding (43.8%) leads the team in shooting from three (min. 10 attempts). Teel has been on fire from the free throw line in the span, knocking down 21-of-23 attempts.

The Sycamores as a team in the last five games are shooting 38.6% from the field, 29.6% from three, and 73.8% from the line.
