ST. LOUIS, Mo. –
Tyce Ferrell was honored with the Missouri Valley Football Conference's President's Council Academic Excellence Award highlighting 84 Sycamores overall that were named to the conference's academic honor roll on Thursday.
Ferrell was honored with the President's Council Academic Excellence Award as one of just 50 student-athletes across the MVFC Fifty to earn earned the league's highest academic achievement. The President's Council Academic Excellence Award requires a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average (through Fall 2023 semester) and participation in athletics a minimum of two years. The student-athlete must be scheduled to graduate by the end of the summer of 2024.
Additionally, Indiana State placed 45 student-athletes on the Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award, while a school-record 84 Sycamores were recognized on the MVFC Honor Roll to set a new standard for the program.
The league's Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award requires a minimum GPA of 3.2 for the previous two semesters (freshmen are not eligible.), while the Honor Roll includes student-athletes who recorded a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
More than 700 student-athletes earned honor roll recognition across the conference.

Season Tickets On Sale Now
Season ticket membership renewals and new season ticket memberships remain on sale online for the upcoming 2024 season.
Season tickets for the six ISU home football games will start at $60 for adults and $30 for youth. Faculty, staff, seniors, and members of the I-Club can purchase tickets for $55.
Additionally, anyone who renews or buys a reserved seat in Section F will have the option to rent a seat chairback for the season. Chairback rentals are available for $20.
Access to Touchdown Corner is available with Varsity Club status starting at just $125. Contact the Sycamore Athletic Fund at 812-237-6134 for more information.
Indiana State will employ mobile ticketing as the default option for all home games during the 2024 football season, enabling contactless entry into athletics venues. Offering greater convenience and safety, fans can access their ticket online and transfer to family and friends. Fans will also have the option to get their tickets printed for an additional $5 charge.
