Stinson ranked in D1Baseball Week 12 Positional Rankings

D1Baseball – Indiana State's Parker Stinson was named among the top players at his position by D1Baseball as the organization continued to announce their Week 12 Positional Rankings.

Stinson came in as the No. 81 outfielder in NCAA Division I marking the fifth Sycamore to be ranked by the organization this week. He joins Randal Diaz (No. 15 shortstop), Luis Hernandez (No. 20 first base), Mike Sears (No. 21 third base), and Grant Magill (No. 38 catcher) to be honored by the organization.

Stinson has been among the team's top hitters in the 2024 season as the Yorktown, Ind. native has posted a .320 batting average while leading the team with 45 runs scored. He enters the weekend sitting third on the team with 24 extra-base hits, including 13 home runs, while sitting among the conference leaders with two triples. Stinson also leads the team with 35 walks drawn and has posted a .469 on-base percentage on the year.

He is currently fourth on the team with 14 multi-hit games and has added eight multi-RBI contests. He enters the weekend on a career-best 23-game on-base streak that was highlighted by last week's two-homer game, including a grand slam, against Illinois as he drove in a career-high seven RBIs in the contest against the Fighting Illini.

Stinson is currently ranked sixth in the Valley in slugging, fourth in on-base percentage, and third in on-base+slugging on the year. In conference competition he rises to fifth in runs scored and third in walks drawn.

Indiana State closes out their six-game home stand this weekend as the Sycamores welcome Evansville to Bob Warn Field for a three-game series over May 10-12. First pitch in Friday's opener is set for 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU and 105.5 The Legend.
