Indiana State ready for championship battle versus Pirates

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Indiana State men's basketball plays in the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) Championship for its final contest of the 2023-24 season on Thursday. This game marks No. 39 on the season.

About the Final Four
The Semifinal games were played on Tuesday, April 2. Indiana State defeated University of Utah and Seton Hall downed Georgia in the night game. The Sycamores and Pirates square off on Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET for the NIT Championship.

Last Time Out - Indiana State
Indiana State broke open a one-possession game midway through the second half and built a double-digit lead with just under eight minutes remaining as the Sycamores topped Utah, 100-90, to advance to Thursday night's NIT Championship Game. Key performances from Ryan Conwell (27 points, four three-pointers) and Robbie Avia (26 points, 10 rebounds) highlighted the back-and-forth game played in Hinkle Fieldhouse before the Sycamores seized control of the game midway through the second half. Swope scored all 15 of his points in the second half, while Larry added 15 points and eight assists to highlight the ISU offense on the day as the Sycamores shot 56.9% from the floor as a team in the win.

Last Time Out - Seton Hall
Five Pirates scored in double figures, including 20 points from Al-Amir Dawes, as the Seton Hall men's basketball team defeated Georgia, 84-67, to advance to Thursday's NIT Championship Game. Dre Davis had 19 points and nine rebounds in his hometown, Kadary Richmond posted 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists, and Jaden Bediako finished with 14 points. Jaquan Sanders had a strong game off the bench for The Hall, tying his career-high with 11 points and hitting three from behind the arc.
