Indiana State baseball hosts First Responders/Child Abuse Prevention Day

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State baseball is hosting First Responders/Child Abuse Prevention Day at Bob Warn Field this afternoon and is grateful for the support of various organizations that will be in attendance at today's 2 p.m. ET game against the Bradley Braves.

The Terre Haute Fire Department and EMS, Terre Haute Police Department, and the Vigo County Sheriff Office will have representation outside the gates at Bob Warn Field, while various organizations will be set up inside the gates with tables, information, and giveaways as the Sycamores look forward to bringing awareness to Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Every April in Indiana is Child Abuse Prevention Month. This occasion provides advocates across the state a chance to raise awareness of community efforts to stop child abuse and neglect. To find out more, click here.

Inside the gates, representatives from Susie's Place, CASA, the Hope House, Big Brother Big Sister, and DCS will have tables set up with face painting, bubbles, and various small giveaways.

After the game, members of the Indiana State baseball team will be signing autographs for the kids. Kids ages 12 and under will also be allowed onto the field to run the bases following today's game.
