ST. LOUIS - Indiana State men's basketball redshirt senior Xavier Bledson and junior Jayson Kent each picked up their second recognition in two days from the Missouri Valley Conference, highlighted by Bledson being named as team captain for the All-Bench Team.

The All-Bench Team is composed of seven student-athletes from across the MVC in men's basketball, where Bledson was selected as the team captain. He averaged 18.5 minutes over the course of the season with averages of 6.9 PPG and 3.0 RPG, appearing in all 31 regular season games. Bledson finished fourth on the team in made triples with 35.

Kent was selected to the Most-Improved Team, made up of five student-athletes across the MVC in men's basketball. One season ago, Kent was averaging 5.1 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 0.4 AST/G, 14.8 MIN/G (46.8% FG%, 27.1% 3FG%). This year, Kent finished the season with 12.7 PPG and 7.9 RPG, shooting 61.3% from the field and 30.6% from deep. From the charity stripe, the junior shot 83.5% after shooting 79.5% last year.
