ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Indiana State right-handed pitcher
Brennyn Cutts was named this week's Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Cutts went six scoreless innings allowing four hits while striking out seven in Indiana State's 15-0 win over Florida A&M on Sunday afternoon. The junior retired six in a row at one point and allowed just one runner in scoring position in the victory. He posted his longest appearance of the season in the win and added a season-high seven strikeouts in his first combined shutout of 2024.
Cutts becomes the second ISU pitcher to claim the conference's weekly honor in the 2024 season.
Jacob Pruitt previously received the recognition back on February 19 following his start against UConn.
