TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State men's basketball received votes in multiple national polls for the week of February 5. 

In the national polls released on February 5, Sycamore Basketball received 53 points in the AP Top 25 college basketball poll, the most amount of points this season. Last week, ISU earned five points after receiving one in the week prior. In the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, Indiana State earned 45 points, just behind Saint Mary's for the highest amount outside the top 25. A week ago, the Sycamores earned 13 points in the poll for the highest mark yet. On February 4, CBS Sports released its top 25 which featured the Sycamores holding the No. 22 spot, giving ISU its first crack inside a top 25 poll this season.

The recognition came after another undefeated week in the Missouri Valley, defeating Belmont with a come-from-behind win in Tennessee on Wednesday, 78-72. ISU erased a 19-point first-half deficit to defeat the Bruins. On Saturday, ISU knocked off Drake at home, 75-67, after falling to the Bulldogs in Iowa earlier in the month.

ISU remained atop the CollegeInsider.com Men's Mid Major Top 25 for the second-straight week, receiving 759 total points.

Indiana State is now 20-3, 11-1 MVC, tying for second in the nation for most wins this season with three other schools (UConn, James Madison, Samford). Only two other schools have a higher win count, but only by one with 21 wins (Grand Canyon, Purdue).

The Sycamores host Valparaiso on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before traveling to Missouri State on Saturday for a 2 p.m. ET tip.
