TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State head football coach
Curt Mallory announced the December #2THEFORE5T signing class on Wednesday afternoon as the Sycamores welcomed 14 players to the roster on the first day of the December early signing period.
Highlighting the class includes 14 true freshmen as the Sycamores remained in the Midwest over the early period. Indiana State's class features local quarterback
Brady Wilson (Terre Haute South HS), as well as players from Bloomington, Brownsburg, Evansville, Crown Point, Indianapolis, and Bargersville as the Sycamores signed seven players from the Hoosier State. Four additional players sign from Illinois, while the final three signees come from around the St. Louis area in Missouri.
The makeup of the early signing class was split down the middle with seven offensive and seven defensive players overall. The Sycamores paid special focus inside the trenches with four defensive linemen and three offensive linemen in the December class.
"It was a great day to be a Sycamore and that's what I told every young man today and their families," head coach
Curt Mallory said. "It starts with character and that's what we want to add to our culture here at Indiana State. Recruiting never stops, these young men were here multiple times, and we're glad they've made the decision to join us here at Indiana State."
