This will be the first time Indiana State and UHSP line up against each other.
The Sycamores moved to 2-0 in the Missouri Valley on Wednesday night, defeating Murray State 84-74 in Terre Haute.Â
Samage Teel led four Sycamores with double figures scoring 26 points on 10-for-13 shooting and 4-for-7 from deep.Â
Markus Harding recorded 12 points, alongside fellow big manÂ
Jaden Daughtry. Harding made 5-of-9 and Daughtry made 4-of-7; Daughtry pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.Â
Josiah LeGree scored 11 points with a team-high three assists.
UHSP will be closing out its stretch of five games from December 12-21 on Saturday afternoon, turning around very quickly after playing a matchup on the road at Indiana University East on Friday at 5 p.m. ET. UHSP is an NAIA school inside the American Midwest Conference.
Samage Teel has been powering the Sycamore offense in the last five outings, averaging 18.8 points per game on 62.1% shooting, 6.4 rebounds per game, and 4.4 assists per game. Teel is leading the team in points and rebounds per game, while
Josiah LeGree is leading the team in assists.
Jaden Daughtry is second on the team in the last five games in 15.4 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game, shooting an astounding 71.7% from the floor. He has seen an uptick in minutes per game from his season average, playing 21.5 minutes per game compared to his now 18.4 per game season average.
K'mani Doughty has been consistent, scoring 10.4 points per game in the last five games, shooting 54.4% from the floor and 41.2% from deep. LeGree is leading the team in shooting from deep (min. 9 attempts) going 6-for-14 for 42.9%.
Indiana State as a team is averaging 83.0 points per game, 53.4% shooting from the field, 38.5% from three, 75.9% from the free throw line, 15.2 assists per game, and 14.8 turnovers per game.
