TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -Â Indiana State men's basketball for the second-straight week received votes in the
Associated Press (AP) Top 25 Men's College Basketball Poll.
In the AP Top 25 released on January 29, ISU received votes tallying five votes in the poll after getting on the board for the first time in the previous week's poll. In the
USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, ISU earned 13 points - the most on the season.
The Sycamores also moved to the No. 1 spot in the
CollegeInsider.com Men's Mid Major Top 25 for the first time under Coach
Josh Schertz. ISU has been floating around inside the top 10 and with the highest ranking being fifth.
The voting came after Indiana State moved up the Missouri Valley standings to the No. 1 spot with an 18-3, 9-1 MVC record, marking the best start in the Coach
Josh Schertz era. The Sycamores traveled to the UIC and came home with an 89-83 victory, followed by a win at home versus Bradley in front of the biggest home crowd of the year.
Catch the Sycamores back in action on Wednesday, January 31 at Belmont in Nashville, Tenn. at 7:30 p.m. ET before returning to Hulman Center on Saturday, February 3 versus Drake University at 6 p.m.
