Wednesday will only be the fifth meeting between ISU and UIC, and the third since 2002. ISU is on a three-game win streak versus UIC, winning the most recent contest 79-60 last February.
About UIC
UIC is in its fourth year with Coach Luke Yaklich at the helm. UIC sits at the bottom of the MVC with a 1-7 league record. Last year, the team finished 12-20 overall and 4-16 in league play. They were beat out by Missouri State 74-57. Three Racers average more than 10.0 PPG: Isaiah Rivera (14.0), Toby Okani (11.3), and CJ Jones (10.4).

Robbie Avila led the offense with 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the floor, knocking down 2-of-3 from behind the arc and going perfect at the free throw line, 4-for-4. Avila added seven rebounds and a game-high five assists.Â
Ryan Conwell followed closely with 17 points, finishing 6-for-11 from the floor and 5-for-7 (71.43%) from deep. The sophomore added seven rebounds, playing all 40 minutes of the game.Â
Julian Larry knocked down three triples en route to finishing with 13 points, a pair of rebounds, and four assists. Larry shot 5-for-7 from the field and 3-for-4 from three.Â
Xavier Bledson tallied six points, seven rebounds, and four assists, whileÂ
Jayson Kent grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

Sophomore guard CJ Jones led four UIC players in double figures with 18 points and added a game-high eight assists, but Valparaiso found just enough of an edge in the final two minutes to pull out an 84-77 victory in Missouri Valley Conference action Saturday at the Athletics-Recreation Center in Valparaiso, Ind.

Junior forward Filip Skobalj scored 15 points – two off his season high – while collecting a team-high six rebounds and three assists. Senior guard Tobi Okani chipped in with 11 points and graduate student guard Marquise Kennedy completed the Flames' double-figure quartet with 10 points.
