Series History
Indiana State travels to Kentucky for the first time this season to face the Racers of Murray State. With Murray State still fresh to the Missouri Valley, this will be only the third meeting in recent years between the Sycamores and Racers. Last year, ISU and MSU split the series with the Sycamores coming out on top at home, 99-56.

About Murray State
Murray State is in their 6th season with Coach Steve Prohm at the helm. Coach Prohm is in his second stint as head coach of the Racers, currently in his second year back in Murray. Coach Prohm was with Murray State from 2011-12 through 2014-15 and returned last season after six years at Iowa State. Murray State sits in a two-way tie for third place in the MVC with a 5-2 record. The Racers were picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll. In the first year in the league, Murray State finished 17-15 overall and 11-9 in MVC play. MSU was defeated by the eventual MVC champions Drake in Arch Madness, 74-62. Five Racers currently average 10.0+ PPG: Rob Perry (13.3), JaCobi Wood (12.7), Brian Moore, Jr. (11.5), Nick Ellington (10.8), and Quincy Anderson (10.7).

Sycamores in the Spotlight
ISU has multiple national televised games this season (7). In those games, ISU currently stands 2-2 with Murray State away (ESPN2), Bradley at home (ESPN2 or ESPNU), and Drake at home (ESPN2) still to play. Indiana State's two wins came at Bradley (ESPNU; 88-77) and versus Ball State at Gainbridge Fieldhouse (Peacock; 83-72). The two losses came at Alabama (SEC Network; 102-80) and at Michigan State (FS1; 87-75).
