Indiana State – Houston Christian announce 2024 football game

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State and Houston Christian University have announced the addition of a football game in the 2024 season on Monday morning.

HCU will make the trip to Terre Haute, Ind. and Memorial Stadium for a Saturday kickoff on September 28, 2024. It will mark the first meeting between the two respective teams in their program histories.

HCU, formerly Houston Baptist University, competes in the Southland Conference. The Huskies posted a 2-9 overall record in 2022 with a 1-5 mark in conference play with wins overall at Northern Colorado and Lamar. Historically, the Huskies have boasted one of the nation's most prolific passing attacks sitting three years removed from sitting in the top-three nationally in total offense and passing offense under current NFL quarterback Bailey Zappe.

The addition of the HCU game puts the Sycamores closer to completing the 2024 slate. ISU currently has non-conference games scheduled at Eastern Illinois (Aug. 31) and at Purdue (Sept. 7) to open the 2024 season.

Game time will be announced at a later date.
