TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – There are plenty of words that can be used to describe Indiana State sprinter JaVaughn Moore. Fierce, quick, confident, dangerous and full of swagger, Moore has become one of the best men's short sprinters in program and Missouri Valley Conference history, breaking multiple school, conference, facility and championship records.
 
Moore's journey to the top of the charts hasn't always been easy, though, with adversity, injuries and heartbreak among the challenges he has overcome in his time with the Blue and White.
 
Today's feature story profiles JaVaughn Moore's relationship with his mother, his rise to the top of the MVC, the hurdles he has faced to get there both in the sport and in life, and his legacy within the Indiana State Track and Field program.
