Series History
Indiana State and NIU have met only once since 2016, and that meeting was on Dec. 22, 2022 when NIU left Terre Haute with a 67-57 win.
About NIU
NIU finished last season 13-19 and 9-9 in the MAC. They were beat out in the first round of the MAC tournament by Kent State 76-57. NIU competes in the Mid-American Conference, best known simply as the MAC, with the likes of Ball State and Toledo. This season, the Huskies were slotted fifth in the preseason MAC poll. NIU was on a 5-game win streak before falling to Northwestern, who recently knocked off #1 Purdue in OT.

Indiana State men's basketball secured their first win at Bradley since February 24, 2018 in Saturday's win, 85-77. The Sycamores moved to 7-1, 2-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference while Bradley fell to 6-2, 0-2 MVC.
Five Sycamores finished in double digits, led byÂ
Robbie Avila with 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and a block.Â
Isaiah Swope turned in 18 points with four made threes, three rebounds, four assists, and a pair of steals.Â
Jayson Kent recorded his third double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds, this time against his former team. Kent was a member of the Braves in 2020-21 and 2021-22.
Ryan Conwell scored 17 points, also knocking down four three-pointers, and grabbed three rebounds while leading the team in steals with two.Â
Julian Larry rounded out the top scorers with 10 points, tacking on three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Last Time Out - NIU
The Northern Illinois University men's basketball team led by one at the half, but Northwestern shot 70.8 percent (17-of-24) from the field in the second half, including 50 percent (5-of-10) from three, as the Wildcats upended the Huskies, 89-67, last Monday night (Nov. 27) at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Xavier Amos (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) led the way for NIU, scoring a career-high 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point range.Â
Zarique Nutter (Newark, N.J./Clarendon College) added 15 points and a career-best six assists whileÂ
David Coit (Columbus, N.J./Atlantic Cape CC) scored 12 points.Â
