CANNED FOOD DRIVE
The Indiana State Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) will be hosting a Canned Food Drive during the Feb. 2 men's basketball game versus Drake. Fans are encouraged to bring canned and non-perishable foods to be collected on the concourse of the Hulman Center. Donations will benefit the Sycamore Pantry on the ISU campus.

Indiana State's SAAC will be competing against Illinois State and Missouri State's SAAC to collect the most items. Collection items include boxed meals, boxed cereal, bottled water, peanut butter, canned soup, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned stew, canned tuna or chicken, canned beans, pasta, pasta/spaghetti sauce, rice and gluten-free items.

THE FOREST INCENTIVES
The Culver's "Drive to 25" promotion for The Forest continues at Hulman Center this season. Students in The Forest will receive promo cards for a free butter burger from Culver's if ISU scores 25 points or more in the first half of action.

Labor Link has also teamed up with the Sycamores to provide gift cards to Forest members based on student attendance. Outlined below are the thresholds required and the number of gift cards given away to ISU students.

THE SERIES
» Indiana State and Drake will meet for the 93rd time on Wednesday with ISU holding a slim 47-46 advantage in the series. The Sycamores will look to snap a two-game losing streak to the Bulldogs after DU took the last two meetings on back-to-back nights in Terre Haute on December 27-28, 2020. Indiana State holds a 32-15 record against Drake in Terre Haute, a 13-30 record on the road, and a 2-1 advantage at a neutral site.Â

» Indiana State continues to shoot the ball from deep at a high rate, ranking second in the MVC and 43rd nationally in 3-point attempts with 537. ISU has hit at least five threes in each game this season and has hit 10+ shots from deep seven times. The Sycamores have come close to tying the single-game school record (18) on three occasions with 16 triples against Midway (12/29) and 15 3-pointers against Hanover (11/14) and Bradley (1/2).

HENRY IS A MATCHUP NIGHTMARE
» Cameron Henry has scored in double-figures in 13 of the 17 games he has seen action in, including five MVC contests. He is averaging 14.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. His scoring output is eighth, rebounding ranks eighth and his assist mark puts him at ninth in the MVC. Henry matched a career-high with 25 points during a 75-73 loss to Valparaiso on January 22. The guard scored 14 consecutive points as ISU rallied back from an 11-point deficit to tie the game in the final minute. Henry shot 10-for-18 from the field, 1-for-3 from distance and 4-for-5 from the charity stripe.

NEESE IS A PROBLEM FOR OPPOSING DEFENSES
» The junior is averaging 14.9 points to lead ISU and rank sixth in the MVC. Neese has scored in double-figures in 11 games this season, scoring 15 or more in 10 games. His 2.5 3-pointers per game leads ISU and ranks sixth in the MVC. Neese hit two 3-pointers against SIU and sits in sole possession of eighth place in program history -- connecting on 152 during his Sycamore career. Guard Tyreke Key sits in seventh with 153 career threes.

BLEDSON DOES IT ALL
» Xavier Bledson leads the Sycamores with 68 assists in 14 games played, recording multiple assists in all but one game he has seen action including a season-high 10 assists against Alabama A&M. Bledson leads the MVC with 4.5 assists per game. To go with his passing, Bledson is also averaging double-figure scoring at 11.1 points per game, scoring 15 points or more in six games. Bledson matched a career-high with 21 points at Southern Illinois (Jan. 19).Â

MOVING THE ROCK
» Indiana State ranks third in the MVC behind Loyola and Bradley with 14.1 assists per game. Five players have recorded over 20 assists with Bledson leading ISU with 68 dimes. Three Sycamores rank in the top-10 in the MVC in assists per game with Bledson coming in at No. 1 with 4.5. Cameron Henry averages 2.8 and Micah Thomas has put up 2.7 assists per contest.
