» Wednesday's matchup with the Salukis will mark the 140th meeting all-time between the two programs with Southern Illinois leading the series 88-51. Indiana State has won four-straight games in the series after dropping eight consecutive games from 2016-2019. Overall, ISU is 11-52 on the road against SIU.

HENRY IS A MATCHUP NIGHTMARE
» Cameron Henry has scored in double-figures in 11 of the 13 games he has seen action in, including all four MVC contests. He is averaging 14.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and three assists per game. His scoring output is 11th, rebounding ranks ninth and his assist mark puts him at eighth in the MVC.

» Over three games at the Myrtle Beach Invitational, Henry put up All-MVC-like numbers. The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 17.3 points, nine rebounds and 5.7 assists per game while going for a career-high 25 points against Oklahoma in the semifinals. For his performance, he was named to the All-Tournament Second Team.

NEESE IS A PROBLEM FOR OPPOSING DEFENSES
» The junior is averaging 15.5 points to lead ISU and rank fifth in the MVC. Neese has scored in double-figures in 11 games this season, scoring 15 or more in 10 games. His 2.5 3-pointers per game leads ISU and ranks sixth in the MVC.

» Neese hit one 3-pointer against Loyola to move into sole possession of eighth place in program history -- connecting on 150 during his Sycamore career. Guard Tyreke Key sits in seventh with 153 career threes.

BLEDSON DOES IT ALL
» Xavier Bledson leads the Sycamores with 53 assists in 11 games played, recording multiple assists in all games he has seen action including a season-high 10 assists against Alabama A&M. Bledson leads the MVC with 4.8 assists per game.

» To go with his passing, Bledson is also averaging double-figure scoring at 11.2 points per game, scoring 15 points or more in five games. The guard also pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds at UNI -- more than doubling his previous career-high of six rebounds in a game.

LARRY DOING THE DIRTY WORK
» Julian Larry played all 45 minutes during an overtime loss at UNI -- the most minutes for a Sycamores since Brenton Scott played 52 minutes in a four-overtime loss to Ohio during the 2017-18 season.

» The guard put together a strong defensive performance against Preseason First-Team All-MVC member AJ Green -- holding the guard to 16 points on 4-for-16 shooting. The Frisco, Texas native also put up a career-high four steals while pulling down five rebounds against the Panthers.

» On offense, Larry hit a season-high mark in points with 13 -- falling just a point short of a career-high. He shot 5-for-10 from the field, including a career-high three 3-pointers.

THOMAS IN ATTACK MODE
» After a slow December guard, Micah Thomas has been on fire on offense, scoring at least 17 points in three of his last four outings.

» Thomas ranks third on the team with 12.4 points per game average while shooting 45 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from deep.

» Along with his scoring output, Thomas sits with 43 assists in 15 games. He has recorded four or more assists in six games including a career-high eight dimes against Midway (12/29).

» Before ISU's game at Northern Iowa, true freshman Quimari Peterson had seen the court in one game for a total of four minutes due to injuries and COVID-19 protocols.

» That all changed in Cedar Falls when the guard played 25 minutes and scored his first points in an Indiana State uniform. Peterson connected on three of his eight shots for six points while grabbing six rebounds.

» Indiana State ranks second in the MVC behind Loyola with 14.3 assists per game while sitting fourth with a 1.1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Five players have recorded over 20 assists with Bledson leading ISU with 53 dimes.Â

» ISU has improved its season average at the free-throw line to 75.3 percent -- good enough for third in the MVC and 49th nationally. Micah Thomas leads is with an 87.0 percent free throw percentage while Xavier Bledson is shooting 84.2 percent (32-for-38) from the line. Four other Sycamores shoot 75 percent or better from the charity stripe.
