THE SERIES
» Saturday's meeting with the Ramblers will be the 36th all-time in a series that began in 1924. Loyola leads the series by one game at 18-17 after taking the first meeting this season in Chicago on Dec. 1, 2021, 88-76. The Ramblers have won three-straight meetings with the last win (76-71) for ISU coming Jan. 10, 2021, during a national TV broadcast at home. ISU is 9-6 against Loyola at home in the series and has won two of the last three meetings at Hulman Center.

A WIN FOR THE SYCAMORES WOULD...
» Snap a three-game losing skid to the Ramblers
» Even both the overall (18-18) and season series (1-1) vs LUC
» Extend ISU's home winning streak to 12 games

LAST TIME OUT
» Indiana State played with just seven available players Tuesday night on the road at UNI due to COVID-19 protocols. The Sycamores led by as many as 17 points early in the second half before fatigue set in and UNI rallied to force overtime and eventually pulled away to secure the 80-74 victory. Micah Thomas and Cameron Henry co-led the team with 18 points. Xavier Bledson added eight points and a career-high 13 rebounds while Julian Larry scored a season-high 13 points including a career-high three 3-pointers.

PROTECT THE HOME COURT
» Indiana State is 6-0 inside Hulman Center this season and is currently riding an 11-game mark at home. The streak is the third-longest in the MVC behind Loyola (30) and Drake (13). ISU finished 2020-21 with a 9-3 mark at home while going 12-1 in Hulman Center in 2019-20.

NEESE IS A PROBLEM FOR OPPOSING DEFENSES
» The junior is averaging 16.3 points to lead ISU and rank fourth in the MVC. Neese has scored in double-figures in 11 games this season, scoring 15 or more in 10 games. His 2.6 3-pointers per game leads ISU and ranks sixth in the MVC.

» Neese scored a game-high 19 points and hit five 3-pointers in a win over Bradley. With the shots from deep, he moved into a tie with Chad Adkins (1996-99) for eighth all-time in career 3-pointers (149). Guard Tyreke Key sits in seventh with 153 career threes.

HENRY IS A MATCHUP NIGHTMARE
» Cameron Henry has either made or assisted on 25 percent of all Indiana State field goals. He is averaging 14.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. His scoring output is 10th, rebounding ranks sixth, while his assist average ranks eighth in the MVC.

» Henry has scored in double-figures in 10 games for Indiana State -- including a pair of double-doubles.

» Over three games at the Myrtle Beach Invitational, Henry put up All-MVC-like numbers. The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 17.3 points, nine rebounds and 5.7 assists per game while going for a career-high 25 points against Oklahoma in the semifinals. For his performance, he was named to the All-Tournament Second Team.

BLEDSON DOES IT ALL
» Xavier Bledson leads the Sycamores with 47 assists in just 10 games played, recording multiple assists in all games he has seen action including a season-high 10 assists against Alabama A&M. Bledson leads the MVC with 4.7 assists per game.

» To go with his passing, Bledson is also averaging double-figure scoring at 11.7 points per game, scoring 15 points or more in five games. The guard also pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds at UNI -- more than doubling his previous career-high of six rebounds in a game.

LARRY DOING THE DIRTY WORK
» Julian Larry played all 45 minutes during an overtime loss at UNI -- the most minutes for a Sycamores since Brenton Scott played 52 minutes in a four-overtime loss to Ohio during the 2017-18 season.

» The guard put together a strong defensive performance against Preseason First-Team All-MVC member AJ Green -- holding the guard to 16 points on 4-for-16 shooting. The Frisco, Texas native also put up a career-high four steals while pulling down five rebounds against the Panthers.

» On offense, Larry hit a season-high mark in points with 13 -- falling just a point short of a career-high. He shot 5-for-10 from the field, including a career-high three 3-pointers.

THOMAS IN ATTACK MODE
» After a slow December guard, Micah Thomas has been on fire on offense, scoring at least 17 points in his last three outings.

» Thomas ranks third on the team with 12.8 points per game average while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from deep.

» Along with his scoring output, Thomas sits with 42 assists in 14 games. He has recorded four or more assists in six games including a career-high eight dimes against Midway (12/29).

WELCOME TO THE FLOOR
» Before ISU's game at Northern Iowa, true freshman Quimari Peterson had seen the court in one game for a total of four minutes due to injuries and COVID-19 protocols.

» That all changed in Cedar Falls when the guard played 25 minutes and scored his first points in an Indiana State uniform. Peterson connected on three of his eight shots for six points while grabbing six rebounds.

MOVING THE ROCK
» Indiana State ranks second in the MVC behind Loyola with 14.4 assists per game while sitting tied for second with a 1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio. Six players have recorded over 10 assists with Bledson leading ISU with 47 dimes.

"FREE" THROWS
» ISU has improved its season average at the free-throw line to 75.4 percent -- good enough for third in the MVC and 50th nationally. Micah Thomas leads is with an 87.0 percent free throw percentage while Xavier Bledson is shooting 84.2 percent (32-for-38) from the line. Four other Sycamores shoot 75 percent or better from the charity stripe.

LINEUP LIMBO
» The Sycamores have used 12 different starting lineups in 15 games this season. No starting lineup combination has been used more than three times.

LOOKING AT LOYOLA
» Loyola, which is ranked No. 2 in the Mid-Major Top-25 poll behind Gonzaga, enters play with a 12-2 overall record and 3-0 mark in the MVC action.

» The Ramblers are led by a pair of 12-point scorers in Lucas Williamson and Ryan Schwieger. Guard Braden Norris averages 9.7 points and is shooting 47.7 percent from behind the arc.

» Loyola is averaging 79 points per game -- which ranks second in the MVC -- while holding opponents to a league-leading 63.6 points and 42.3 percent shooting. LUC also leads the league with 17.1 assists per game as a team.

ISU ONE OF THE MOST INEXPERIENCED IN NCAA
» Indiana State returns just two players that saw significant minutes a year ago in guards Cooper Neese and Julian Larry. With the addition of eight newcomers to the roster in 2021-22, ISU ranks 346 out of 354 teams in terms of Division I court experience according to Kenpom.com.
