JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A delegation of nine Indiana State track and field athletes will make their NCAA East Preliminary Round debut beginning on Wednesday, May 26 at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.

Frankie Young III had a standout season for the Sycamores in the men's long jump. The Zionsville, Ind., native was slated to enter the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships with the top mark in the Valley of 7.52m (24-08.25), which was also the sixth-best jump in Indiana State history. Young is no stranger to top-level competition, recording his personal-best jump at the Kentucky Invitational earlier this season. Entering the East Regional meet, Young is seeded 29th.

Matthew Lewis-Banks | 110m Hurdles | Wed., May 26 | 6 p.m. ET | Watch | Results | Heat Sheets
Fresh off of his 110-meter hurdle conference title,
Matthew Lewis-Banks enters the opening round of the event on Wednesday with the 37th-best time in the East of 13.98, which he ran at the MVC Outdoor Championships. Lewis-Banks' time moved him to 10th in Sycamore history and helped him complete the hurdle sweep in the Valley, claiming the indoor and outdoor hurdle titles. If the outdoor sophomore finishes in the top-three of his heat or owns one of the next best six times, he will advance to the quarterfinal on Friday at 6:45 p.m. ET for a chance to punch his ticket to the NCAA Championships.

Only a freshman,
Wyatt Puff earned his way into the East Preliminary Round at the MVC Championships after placing seventh with the seventh-best toss in ISU history of 17.81m (58-05.25), seeding him at 42nd in the East. Puff will need to place in the top-12 of the event in order to advance to Eugene, Ore., for the NCAA Championships.

The reigning MVC indoor 60-meter dash and outdoor 100-meter dash champion will make his East Region debut in the 100-meter dash. Moore enters Wednesday's race with the 42nd-best time in the East of 10.39, the third-best effort in Indiana State history, from his victory at the Crimson Tide Invitational. Moore will advance to the quarterfinals on Friday at 7:05 p.m. ET if he places in the top-three of his heat or owns one of the next best six times in the competition.

Joining Puff as the only other freshman on the men's side to qualify for the Blue & White,
Kevin Krutsch will compete in the high jump on Friday at 1 p.m. ET after recording the 28th-best clearance in the region of 2.12m (6-11.05) from the Kentucky Invitational. Krutsch enters the preliminary round fresh off of his first MVC title in the high jump, winning the event with a clearance of 2.07m (6-09.50). His clearance of 2.12m is tied for the 10th-best jump in Sycamore history.

The highest-seeded event for the Trees entering the Regional competition comes from the men's 4X100-meter relay squad of
Matthew Lewis-Banks,
JaVaughn Moore,
Jhivon Wilson and
Noah Malone. The quartet of Sycamores boast the 12th-best time in the East with their school record performance of 39.76 from the Pacesetter Sports Invitational. The top-three from each heat, plus the next best three times, will advance to Oregon.

On the women's side, freshman
Ryann Porter will compete for the Blue & White in the triple jump. She enters Saturday's competition with the 22nd-best mark in the East of 12.91m (42-04.25) from her MVC championship performance two weeks ago. Her mark also pushed her to second in Indiana State history in the event. The top-12 finishers will advance to the NCAA Championships.

The lone Sycamore women competing on the track over the weekend will be
Jocelyn Quiles in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase. During the MVC Outdoor Championships, Quiles ran the second-best time in school history of 10:20.10 for All-MVC honors and a third-place finish. Her time has her seeded 44th in the East.
