LEXINGTON, Ky. – The final day of the Kentucky Invitational for Indiana State track and field featured several strong performances, including pair of top-three finishes from the Blue & White.

For the second-consecutive weekend, the ISU men's hurdlers were impressive on the track.
Matthew Lewis-Banks ran under 14.15 for the second time in-a-row, placing second with a time of 14.12. His time of 14.10 from the Drake Relays is still atop the Missouri Valley Conference and 37th in the NCAA East Region. Fellow Sycamore
Daryl Black placed third with a time of 14.63 while
Avery Taylor took fifth at 15.17.

Indiana State's men's sprinters once again managed to put together a strong effort for the Sycamores, placing four in the top-eight of the 100-meter dash final. Moore led the way, sprinting across the line in the third position with a time of 10.60. He was followed by
Noah Malone in fifth at 10.82,
Jhivon Wilson in sixth at 10.87 and
Ejiroghene Biokoro in eighth at 10.88.

On the women's side of the track,
Rebecca Odusola had a season-best performance for the Trees. Running in section two of the event, Odusola claimed the heat victory en route to fifth overall in the event with a season-best time of 2:11.89, pushing her to seventh in the league.

In the first event of the day for the Sycamore men, the 4X100-meter relay squad composed of
Jarel Shaw, Moore, Wilson and Malone took home a runner-up finish after posting a final time of 41.07, falling only to the Kentucky squad ranked seventh in the East Region.

The women's 4X100-meter relay team of
Jayla Williams,
Reynei Wallace,
Iyanla Hunter and
Daija Springer opened up the day with a top-five finish after placing fourth in the event behind a time of 47.19. The 4X100-meter time of 46.89 from the Gibson Invitational is sixth in the MVC.

Sierra Long, Odusola,
Riley Tuerff and Hunter locked-in another top-five finish for the Trees in the second relay of the day. The team placed fifth, racing to a time of 3:49.28 and the time of 3:47.78 from the Drake Relays is third in the league.

Senior
Jocelyn Quiles got the individual events started on the track on Saturday afternoon in the women's 1500-meter run. The O'Fallon, Mo., native placed sixth after crossing the line with a time of 4:29.08, a season-best performance that pushes her to fifth in the Valley.

In the field,
Wyatt Puff was the leader for the Trees, picking up a bronze finish in the men's shot put. On his third toss of the competition, Puff recorded a throw of 16.96m (55-07.75) to secure third-place. His mark of 17.27m (56-08.00) from the EIU Dual Meet is seventh in the conference.

Janea Bell and
Kelsey Bowlds both earned clearances of 1.64m (5-04.25) en route to seventh and ninth-place finishes, respectively, in the women's high jump. Bowlds' jump of 1.68m (5-06.00) from the Drake Relays is still fifth in the Valley while Bell's clearance of 1.65m (5-05.00) is seventh in the MVC.

Both Sycamore track and field teams will return home for the Pacesetter Sports Invitational next Friday, May 7, in their final tune-up before the MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
