Former Sycamore Pole Vaulter Emily Brady to Sing National Anthem at Final Four

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Former Sycamore pole vaulter Emily Brady has been selected by the NCAA to represent Indiana State as a national anthem singer at Lucas Oil Stadium for the Final Four on Saturday in Indianapolis.

Brady will join forces with representatives from Ball State, Butler, Indiana, IUPUI and Purdue to sing the anthem prior to the 5 p.m. ET game between #1 Baylor and #2 Houston at Lucas Oil Stadium.

"We are so excited that Emily will be singing the national anthem at the NCAA Final Four," track and field program director Angela Martin said. "During her time as a student-athlete for our track and field team, she sang multiple times, including at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. She is incredibly talented and Indiana State is lucky to have her as a representative."

During her time at Indiana State, Brady earned All-MVC honors in the pole vault at the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships in addition to scoring in the event four additional times throughout her career. Brady was also honored as an MVC scholar-athlete during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
