TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State volleyball team fell 3-2 in a five-set thriller to Missouri State on Senior Night Saturday, (23-25, 25-18, 25-19, 21-25, 12-15) in ISU Arena.
The Sycamores (7-11; 7-10 MVC) celebrated the careers of three seniors on the night:
Mary Hannah Lewis, and
Addie Kittle. After ISU pulled ahead with a 2-1 lead at the end of the third set, the Bears (13-6; 9-5 MVC) responded by narrowly taking the final two.

After hitting .258 through the first three sets and holding MSU to just .178, the roles were reversed in the rest of the match. Missouri State hit .207 while holding ISU to just .141 thanks to the Bears getting four of their six blocks in the final two sets.

Indiana State got a strong offensive performance from
Mallory Keller as the freshman finished the match with 16 kills and hit .231.
Kaitlyn Hamilton added a 12-kill performance, and
Madeline Williams rounded out the double-digit kills with 11.

Melina Tedrow led three Sycamores with 20+ digs in the match, finishing the night with 24. Both
Ashley Eck and
Chloe Mason added 23 digs, while
Taylor Shelton chipped in 13. For Mason, the 23 digs combined with 29 assists led to her 13th double-double of the season. The second half of the setting duo,
Mary Hannah Lewis, finished the match with 23 assists.

Indiana State finished the match with a better attack percentage (.212 to .190), more digs (100 to 99), more aces (9 to 4), and more blocks (7 to 6).

Brooklyn Cink led all players with 26 kills in the contest, while Amelia Flynn, Lindsay Lahr, and Azyah Green all chipped in double-digit kills as well.
