TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State volleyball was unable to keep pace with a powerful Drake offense on Sunday afternoon in the ISU Arena, falling to the Bulldogs 3-0.

With the 3-0 [20-25, 21-25, 21-25] defeat, Indiana State had their two-game winning streak snapped and moved to 6-8 (6-7 MVC) on the year while the Bulldogs improved to 9-5 (7-4 MVC).

Offensively, a duo of Trees surpassed 10 kills led by
Kaitlyn Hamilton with 11. Gretchen Kucckan, who didn't enter the match until the second frame, ended with 10 kills to go along with four digs. As a team, the Trees hit .174 with 45 kills while Drake ended the match hitting .313 and tallied 49 kills.

The Bulldogs were led by Halle Bush with 13 kills and 10 digs while Emily Plock added 15 kills and five digs.

Sophomore
Chloe Mason had a strong outing for the Blue & White, earning another double-double, recording a team-high 18 assists with 11 digs.
Mary Hannah Lewis contributed 16 assists as well as eight digs. The Trees ended with 43 total assists.

Defensively,
Melina Tedrow led the effort once again with 19 digs, for 6.3 per set, but also set-up eight assists. Additionally,
Ashley Eck put on a strong defensive performance with 14 digs to go along with two service aces. ISU ended the afternoon with 65 digs, giving the team an average of 21.67 digs per set.

At the net, the Sycamores and Bulldogs battled to an even 4-4 tally. Freshmen
Jamie Brown and
Karinna Gall led the charge for Indiana State with each getting up for three block assists. In the service game,
Madeline Williams served-up three of the Trees' six total aces.

The Sycamores will get another chance at Drake tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. ET in the ISU Arena. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
