TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State track & field has released the 2021 outdoor schedule, headlined by four meets at the Gibson Track & Field Complex, Program Director Angela Martin announced Thursday.
 
The Sycamores will open the 2021 outdoor season with a trip down south to Oxford, Miss., to compete in the Ole Miss Classic on Saturday, Mar. 27. Their competition at Ole Miss is one of two SEC meets featured on the schedule, with the second coming the weekend of Apr. 9-10 at the Crimson Tide Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
 
Indiana State's home opener is slated for Apr. 3 when the Trees welcome Eastern Illinois for the EIU Dual Meet. They will host the annual Gibson Invitational two weeks later over the weekend of April 16-17.
 
The Blue & White will return to the historic blue oval at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa from Apr. 22-24 while also hosting the Sycamore Open in Terre Haute on Apr. 24 during a busy weekend of competition. The regular season will conclude on Friday, May 7 when the Trees host the Pacesetter Sports Invitational.
 
Southern Illinois will host the Missouri Valley Conference Championships from May 14-16 in Carbondale, Ill. The season will conclude with the NCAA East Prelims in Jacksonville, Fla., from May 27-29, and the NCAA Outdoor Championships will return to Eugene, Ore., from June 9-12. 
 
Information regarding spectator attendance will be released in the coming weeks.
