BOSTON, MA -- The 2020-21 Skip Prosser Man of the Year award finalists were announced on this week, and Indiana State's
Greg Lansing was among the award's 25 finalists.
Â
The Skip Prosser Man of the Year award honors those who not only achieve success on the basketball court but who display moral integrity off the floor as well.
Lansing served on the College Insider, Inc. committee that announced a new social inclusion initiative in 2020-21, "Eracism", focused on bringing forth change through education, awareness, and action. He was a leading voice in promoting the organizations' "This Game is No Secret" weekend to raise awareness for the initiative. Typically, the Indiana State men's basketball program is involved in volunteering in the community and local youth camps, but due to the circumstances of COVID-19 all of those opportunities were canceled.Â
Â
Prosser passed away of an apparent heart attack on July 26, 2007 in his office at Wake Forest. He had just returned from his morning jog.
The award is in its 14
th year of existence, and the recipient of the 2021 award will be announced on April 1.
